Attributable gold production in FY26 from New Simberi was 41,066 ounces at All-in Sustaining Costs of US$3,230 per ounce, from processing remnant oxide ore.
In April 2026, St Barbara completed the transaction with Lingbao Gold Group to sell 40% of the New Simberi Gold Project for A$389 million in cash. Concurrently a Final Investment Decision was made on the New Simberi Gold Project to expand the current operation to process sulphide ore and increase production to over 200kozpa at an average All-In Sustaining Cost (AISC) of US$1,250/oz over a 13 year mine life. Construction is underway with expansion growth capital is estimated at US$330 million (100% basis) and first gold production from the sulphide ore targeted for late calendar year 2027.
In Nova Scotia, St Barbara has received permits to reopen the Touquoy open pit mine and process the remaining low/medium grade stockpiles. The operation is expected to restart in late calendar year 2026 and produce 38koz over calendar year 2027 at an average AISC of US$1,598/oz. The next development stage in Nova Scotia is the 15-Mile Processing Hub with study results outlining production of over 100kozpa across an 11 year mine life at an average AISC of US$1,188/oz. In June 2026 the permitting process for the 15-Mile Processing Hub commenced, with a Final Investment Decision expected in mid 2027 and first production in mid 2029.
