Company profile
NOVAGOLD is a well-financed gold development company focused on advancing the Donlin Gold project in Alaska. Donlin Gold is one of the world’s largest and highest-grade known undeveloped open-pit gold deposits, containing approximately 40 million ounces of gold in the Measured and Indicated Mineral Resource categories at an average grade of 2.22 grams per tonne. Once in production, the project is expected to produce more than one million ounces of gold annually over an estimated 27-year mine life.
In July 2026, NOVAGOLD announced an agreement to acquire the remaining 40% interest in Donlin Gold, which would result in NOVAGOLD owning 100% of the project upon closing. Donlin Gold is located on private lands owned by Alaska Native corporations Calista Corporation and The Kuskokwim Corporation. NOVAGOLD had US$370.2 million in cash and term deposits as of May 31, 2026.
